Privacy Policy
CTA Family is a transparent parental monitoring tool for families in India, the United Arab Emirates, the wider Gulf, and internationally. Before any child phone is paired, the parent and child read a clear disclosure together and confirm consent.
What is shared with the parent
- Which app is open on screen, and for how long
- Daily screen time per app
- The list of installed apps
- Phone location, about every 10 minutes
- Battery level, and whether the screen is on
What is never collected
- Messages or chats
- What you type or search
- Websites you visit
- Photos, files, calls or contacts
- What you see inside apps
How Android and iPhone work
On Android, the CTA Family child app uses Android’s Usage Access, Location, and a persistent Foreground Service notification that remains visible at all times so the child always knows sharing is active. On iPhone, parents and children set up Apple’s built-in Shortcuts automations that send app open/close and check-in events to the family’s private webhook URL.
Data retention and deletion
Recorded activity, location points, and chat history are automatically deleted after 30 days. Parents can delete an individual child profile or their entire account at any time inside the app (Account settings) or on the web at /delete-account. Deleting an account permanently removes all children, devices, events, alerts, and chat history immediately.
Parental consent (India DPDP Act & UAE / GCC PDPL)
Only a verifiable parent or legal guardian may create a CTA Family account and pair a child’s device. At account creation and device pairing, we record the timestamp and version of the parent’s consent confirmation. We never sell data, never show advertising, and never use child activity data to train AI models.
